Who am I?

A creative plagued by the muses. Harassed and delirious from the improbable ideas they toss at me—the more respectable of which can be found on the pages of the Wall Street Journal, Los Angeles Times, Forbes.com, Esquire, Harvard Business Review, and on National Public Radio and PBS broadcasts, among other outlets.

I write essays, articles, and books.

I create art films.

I direct and edit feature and short documentary films.

And I make an award-winning chicken pot pie.

My visual art has been shown at the Hammer Museum, the Walker Art Center, the Center Theatre Group, the Kennedy Center, and the LA Opera.

Awards: "Best Experimental Film" for my short Airborn (International Festival of Cinema and Technology). A "Best Documentary" nomination from the Asian Festival of First Films in Singapore for the feature I directed, “USS Cooper: Return to Ormoc Bay.”

I’ve taught writing at UCLA Extension, California State University Northridge and Long Beach, and at Santa Monica College.
